This is a one of a kind priceless beautiful song that I will write for you and your partner, friend, sibling, child parent or a very special person in your life over the next couple of months through this fun process.

I started creating these songs a few years ago when I wrote the wedding song for my daughter and her husband, Jon and Delyse, and performed it on their wedding day for the first time. Needless to say it was an emotional and powerful experience.

Every one of us has a unique story to tell, especially the one about the day we met our spouse, partner, best friend etc. Your song is the story of that day written by me. I will write your song over a 2 month period and perform it for you at the place of your choice. 

The first step is written by you. You and your partner will write out the story of the day you met or fell in love in the first person present tense as you each remember it without sharing it with each other. Writing in the first person present tense means you are reliving the experience of that day again right now and allowing yourself to let it flow out of you. It’s very simple and easy. All of the details, emotions and images are right there in your head. When you are finished you each email your version of the story to me. Again there’s no sharing what you’ve written.

Next, I will contact each partner and conduct a personal interview with you where I can get a deeper picture of your relationship. I gather more details, images etc. to use as my scrapbook of material to write your unique song. As a songwriter I’ve learned that I’m actually a channel through which the song comes through. Once I have the story and immerse myself into it, the song writes itself and I’m able to express it in a distinctive special way. Every song I write is a new one of a kind priceless creation. I don’t copy other writers or adapt another song I’ve written. 

Lastly, when the song is complete I will perform it at a place or event of your choice. This could be a wedding, anniversary or you can host a "house concert" and invite your family and closest friends.

Wedding - I will perform your song whenever you feel its appropriate. This could be at the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony or reception. For John and Siobhan, I performed at the rehearsal dinner and the reception.

Anniversary - There are many possibilites here. From a formal wedding situation to a house concert or anything in between. 

House Concert - I will perform an hour long concert of my music and the last song I sing will be your song! The event frequently takes place in your home where food and drinks are served and I perform in your living room or other space that works well. I prefer at least 25 people. The key is to have an intimate environment where we can all connect and have a great experience together. 

Whatever the celebration, I can adapt!
