Testimonial:
From the very beginning, H made the song writing process very special. We each relived our love story, and got to express what was most important from our journey together. Completing the interview process separately created some mystery and excitement to hear the finished product. On our wedding day the song was a major hit. It had humor, touching emotion, and wonderful storytelling, all put to a great tune. H’s ability to capture the true essence of our story shined throughout our song. Our day would not have been the same without it! Thanks for the memories, H. – John and Siobhan
My Process:
Writing John and Siobhan’s song was an experience of witnessing a song come through me. It was exhilarating writing and knowing that I was a pipeline for delivery of “I’ve Seen You in My Dreams”. As Maureen and I were driving up to Rhode Island for their wedding I was writing the last verse and with her help we completed the process. It was amazing!
I've Seen You In My Dreams
The club was crazy that New Year’s Eve
I was meeting and greeting the VIPs
You worked the crowd behind the bar
I set my eyes on you from afar
Piercing blue eyes and blonde streaks in your hair
Captured my heart when you caught my stare
As you walked by your legs were insane
I said "Meet me at midnight for a glass of champagne"
I've seen you in my dreams
A million times before
Spellbound by your beauty
I had to see more and more
Dinner and drinks the next Friday night
My tacos are famous I made em just right
On the old leather couch we were watching TV
Feeling the electric chemistry
Sitting so close my heart beat like a drum
You gazed in my eyes I knew the time had come
To be your man and give you a kiss
I made my move and we fell in a sea of bliss
I've seen you in my dreams
A million times before
Spellbound by your beauty
I had to see more and more
A corner table with an ocean view
We talked for hours and we just knew
Our life together began that night
Feeling so easy and so right
I've seen you in my dreams
A million times before
Getting married to my best friend
It’s you and I forevermore
